Catalyst Games operates as an independent games and software development studio as well as a creative agency. We provide support services and work for hire in Tech, Games and Agriculture. Recognised as the "Most Impactful Studio" at the South Australia Game Industry Awards, Catalyst is responsible for many of the impact initiatives across the games industry in South Australia. We run game development workshops for kids, host and participate in game jams and other industry events and operate a games focused co-working space based in the Adelaide CBD called Imagination: Games House
We have a huge passion for cosy, cute and immersive video game worlds. With our first flagship IP Dungeons and Dining Tables we are focused on a community first development vision working with our fans to create engaging gameplay and memorable moments for players.
This is a 2-Day bootcamp style workshop created and delivered by our team of qualified facilitators. In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of Unity Development and the 3D modeling software Blender.
We guide the participants through a series of crafted levels designed to teach them about different aspects of game development from Programming, Design and Art.
This is a STEM workshop we typically deliver to groups of 10-20 at a time for ages 11-15. We currently work with a number for local council libraries and community centers, schools and non-profits to host and facilitate these workshops. An offline, highly accessible workshop led by our facilitation team. This workshop format focuses on the core of game development, building and enhancing game mechanics and game loops in a fun and low pressure environment. With a focus on allowing the participants to create the type of game they want whether it be a card game, board game, story-driven or gameplay driven.
